Vivoda Wines
The Vivoda family winery has been cultivating the tradition of winemaking and viticulture since 1952. During the difficult period after World War II, many families from different parts of Istria moved to Rovinj, including the Vivoda family, who arrived from the slopes of Čićarija near Buzet.
Today, the winery is led by the third generation of the family, headed by Davor and his wife Suzana. Vivoda Winery cultivates 15 hectares of vineyards on fertile deep red soil in the best locations around Rovinj, in micro-locations such as "San Ciprian" and "Turnina". The vineyard's assortment is led by the indigenous grape varieties Istrian Malvasia and Teran, alongside White Muscat, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their annual production is around 100,000 liters, and the winery is located on Cademia Street, where numerous tourist apartments are situated, making the wines easily accessible to tourists visiting Rovinj. The wines can also be found in many restaurants in Rovinj.
They offer about ten wine labels on the market and have already received numerous domestic and international awards. The most awarded wine of the winery is the aged Istrian Malvasia, named after the patron saint of Rovinj, Saint Euphemia.
