Vinistra Wine & Spirits Awards traditionally brings together top oenologists, sommeliers, wine experts and producers whose dedication and passion for wine continuously raise the standards of the entire industry. The competition takes place from 13th to 17th of April 2026, ahead of Vinistra – the most important wine event in the region.
We invite all Istrian winemakers to prepare their labels and take part in this prestigious competition that celebrates excellence, authenticity, and innovation in the world of wine. Register your samples on the link:
Terms and information
All wine and special wine producers from the Istria County and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, as well as all producers worldwide who produce Malvazija istarska, Žlahtina, Teran, Refošk and Momjan Muscat, are eligible to submit their products for evaluation, which takes place as part of the Vinistra wine fair in Poreč. Only wines and special wines produced in accordance with the Wine Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia, No. 32/19) and the applicable regulations may be entered.
All wines must be bottled and ready for commercial sale. Participants must provide 4 bottles from the same batch (0.75 L each), or 6 bottles from the same batch (0.5 L or 0.375 L) for special wines (dessert, liqueur, and aromatized wines).

Important dates
- Applications close: March 18, 2026
- Sample drop off: March 18–21, 2026 at address: Lindarska cesta 1, Pazin
- Competition: April 13–17, 2026
- Results published at www.vinistra.hr: Friday, April 24, 2026
Entry fees
- €80 + VAT per sample for all participants from Croatia
- Regular Vinistra members: 30% discount = €56 + VAT per sample
- Associate Vinistra members: 10% discount = €72 + VAT per sample
- €100 per sample for participants from outside Croatia
A 20% discount applies for each additional sample submitted after the fifth entry.
