Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
A key event for the world of wine
The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles’ primary ambition is to provide consumers with a guarantee: that it will single out wines of irreproachable quality offering a truly pleasurable drinking experience, wines from across the globe and the price points.
Twenty years experience have enabled the competition to become a benchmark amongst international wine contests. Belgium can be proud to organise a unique event that is known and recognised by the wine industry and consumers world wide.
An impartial and rigorous competition, with a doubly international character
The competition rigorously selects reputable tasters recognized for their competence, from all regions of the world. Our juries bring together professionals, opinion leaders and players in the global wine economy. In 2020, it brought together a panel of 350 international tasters from 50 nationalities, a diversity that contributes to the uniqueness of the event and greater objectivity of the results.
The excellent reputation of its selection process is one of the key elements of this competition
And, since 2004, the organizers have been collaborating with a team of researchers from the Institute of Statistics of the Catholic University of Louvain to process the results and monitor the profile of each taster.
The competition is divided into 4 sessions:
- Red and White Wine Session
- Rose Wine Session
- Sweet & Fortified Wine Session
- Sparkling Wine Session
