From hosting the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles and an independent appearance at the most famous wine fair Prowein, at the Assembly of the most successful association of winemakers and winegrowers in Croatia, as many as eight wine events were announced in its organization
Vinistra has a very challenging and dynamic year ahead of it. In addition to traditional wine events such as En Primeur, the International Wine and Spirits Awards and the 14th World of Malvasia as well as the most popular wine event in the region - the 29th Vinistra, in mid-May Istrian winemakers will host the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, and already in March the first independent performance at the extremely important Düsseldorf Prowein.
These were just some of the topics at the annual Assembly of the most successful Croatian association of winemakers and winegrowers, which has more than 120 members, and its main source of funding is the membership fee.
A big challenge for Istrian winemakers is the creation and implementation of an operational marketing plan with the aim of improving the image at the regional level and branding Istrian wines in cooperation with a professional marketing agency whose task will be to design a new, modern visual identity and attractive communication messages. The new website as a central place for the presentation and promotion of wine with an interactive map of Istrian winemakers, a strong database and all relevant documents and a special section for registered winemakers, members of Vinistra, was highlighted, among other things, at the Assembly in Svetvinčent.
"We are continuously working on raising the quality of events in our own organization and designing new ones in accordance with the modern requirements of the wine market. Vinistra as an event has for years been an additional reason for guests to come to Poreč in May, which from next year will become the wine month in Istria. Also, by creating new events such as the exclusive Vintage by Vinistra - where we will present aged Malvasias in spring in Zagreb and aged Terrans for the second time in November - a great qualitative step forward has been made on the Croatian wine scene with additional promotion of our top autochthonous varieties", Luka concluded Luka Rossi, president of Vinistra, and for the next year as many as eight wine events organized by this Istrian association.
