Benazić Wines

The Benazić family winery from Pula is quite unique because its vineyards are located in the microlocation of Sveta Katarina in the municipality of Pićan, while the cellar is situated in the Valdabek neighborhood of Pula.

In the 1960s, when Tone Benazić moved to Pula for work, he still maintained contact with his native region where the tradition of winemaking had been cultivated for generations. Tone successfully passed on this love to his son Neven, an electronics engineer by profession, who continued the family tradition. Thus, in 2004, Neven founded the Benazić winery, and today the entire family is involved in the winery's operations, with his daughters Katarina and Ana Antonia, both trained oenologists, gradually taking over the business.

The Benazić winery currently cultivates seven hectares of vineyards planted in red soil, with indigenous varieties such as Istrian Malvasia and Teran dominating the vineyard, along with Yellow Muscat, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. They are present in the market with twelve wine labels and six distillate labels. In addition to the cellar, they have a well-appointed and elegant tasting room where they organize guided tastings, allowing visitors to sample all of the winery's products along with delicious bites.
