Dešković Wines

The Dešković family has been residing in the village of Kostanjica, on the slopes beneath the historic town of Grožnjan with a view of the Mirna River valley, for many years. The Deškovićs have been engaged in agriculture and livestock farming since ancient times, and today, this Agrotourism estate is run by three harmonious brothers: Franco, Giuliano, and Mauricio, together with their families.

At Dešković, you can find typical Istrian delicacies such as homemade prosciutto, cheese, ombolo, extra virgin olive oil, various herbal brandies, and, of course, top-quality wines. The tradition of winemaking in the Dešković family has lasted for over a hundred years, and the vineyards are planted in the surrounding area on slopes dominated by deep white soil. Deškovićs currently cultivate 25 hectares of vineyards and have won numerous domestic and international awards at various wine festivals for their wines.

They are present in the market with about fifteen wine labels, and the backbone of their production consists of wines made from indigenous grape varieties such as Malvasia Istriana and Teran, which they offer in both fresh and aged versions. It should be noted that their other wines, such as Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Refosco, Merlot, and White Muscat, are of excellent quality and are eagerly sought after by wine enthusiasts.
