Three intense days for Vinistra at the largest wine fair, Istrian winemakers performed independently for the first time at a common stand alongside wine countries such as Portugal and Hungary
The decision for Istrian winemakers to present themselves independently at the world's largest fair in Düsseldorf this year was a great success for Vinistra. It was three intense days for representatives of 13 well-known wineries, supported by the County Prefect of Istria, Boris Miletić. At the independent booth in Hall 12 alongside major wine countries such as Portugal and Hungary, the following wineries presented themselves at the Vinistra booth: Agrolaguna, Damjanić, Medea, Fakin, Meneghetti, Pervino, Cattunar, Rossi, Bertoša, Kozlović, Benvenuti, Matošević, and Franković.
"ProWein has once again shown that it is the leading international fair in the wine and spirits sector. I am extremely pleased with the great interest of wine professionals in Istrian wines, especially our Malvasia and Teran varieties. This is primarily the result of the top quality of our wines, but also of the intensive promotional activities that we, as an association, undertake in key markets. Perhaps we do not have large vineyard areas like the most famous wine regions, but the quality of our wines is in no way inferior to the best, as confirmed this year at ProWein," said Luka Rossi, President of Vinistra, the association of Istrian winegrowers and winemakers.
From March 19 to 21, the entire global market was presented at the Düsseldorf fair, with almost six thousand exhibitors from more than 60 countries, and was visited by 49 thousand business visitors from 141 countries.
