Istrian wines again at ProWein! Discover the most famous Croatian wine and tourist region

Why Malvasia Istriana should be on your radar - find out from March 10 to 12 in Düsseldorf at the exhibition area of the Vinistra association, where 15 great Istrian wineries will be presented 

Everything is ready for the exhibition of Istrian winemakers at ProWein, one of the largest wine fairs, which will take place from March 10 to 12 in Düsseldorf. In the organization of Vinistra, association of vinegrowers and winemakers of Istria, winemakers from the most famous Croatian wine region will be exhibiting independently for the second time.

In hall 13 stand A23, this year on a double exhibition space of 80 square meters, wines will be presented by 15 well-known Istrian wineries - Agrolaguna, Benvenuti, Cattunar Winery, Damjanić Wines, Degrassi, Fakin, Medea Winery, Kozlović Winery, Marčeta, Matošević Wines of Istria, Pervino Winery, Kabola Winery, Rossi Winery, Meneghetti and Veralda.


Istrian winemakers will present themselves with top quality Malvasias and Terans - indigenous varieties that are enjoyed by wine lovers throughout the world, as well as by many tourists who choose Istria, the most attractive Croatian tourist region, as their destination. In cooperation with the well-known expert and Master of Wine Caroline Gilby, they will also have two extremely attractive workshops at their exhibition space.

Don't Forget the Z - why Istria's own Malvazija should be on your radar is the name of the first workshop that will be held for media representatives and wine critics on March 10 at 1 p.m. local time, while the very next day, March 11, also at 1 p.m. local time, Caroline Gilby will hold the Colours of Istria workshop for importers and distributors from Germany.


This will be an opportunity for the professional public to discover and enjoy full and harmonious golden yellow Malvasias with refined fruit and floral notes, as well as strong and characteristic Terans that stand out with their aromas of black and red fruit and sumptuous tannins.

This extremely important exhibition for Istrian winemakers at ProWein will also be an announcement for the Vinistra fair - the most famous regional wine exhibition, whose jubilee 30th edition will be held from May 10 to 12 in Poreč, one of the most famous tourist centres in Istria.
