Decanter 2024 Winners Showcase by Vinistra will take place on June 27 at the Golf Adriatic Clubhouse Kempinski in Savudrija, gathering 200 wine professionals.

Decanter is coming to Croatia! Organized by the Vinistra association, the exclusive wine event Decanter 2024 Winners Showcase at the Golf Adriatic Clubhouse of the Kempinski hotel in Savudrija will feature wines from 40 Croatian wineries that won medals at this year's Decanter Wine World Awards (DWWA), whose results were announced on June 19.

This is a B2B event, participation is by invitation only, and it will bring together industry professionals and media representatives who follow the increasingly dynamic wine scene. On June 26, ten well-known wine journalists from abroad will arrive in Istria, organized by Vinistra, and will tour Istrian wineries and enjoy top-quality Malvasias and Terans until June 29.

"I am proud that award-winning Croatian wines will be presented to top professionals right here in our wine region of Istria. The event will be attended by around 200 guests from the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, and Croatia. We are organizing the Decanter 2024 Winners Showcase by Vinistra in the year our association celebrates a significant anniversary, 30 years of existence, and this event is yet another confirmation that we are an attractive wine region," said Luka Rossi, president of Vinistra, the association of Istrian winegrowers and winemakers, congratulating all the awarded winemakers on this year's Decanter awards.

Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, highlights that the arrival of Decanter, one of the most influential wine competitions in the world, to Croatia is a significant step in the development of the Croatian wine industry. "We believe this event confirms our efforts, as Croatia continuously works on the quality and development of wine production, and thereby on promoting the eno-gastro offer as one of the most sought-after tourist products and an important motivation for guests when choosing a destination," says the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board.

In addition to Decanter, a global wine brand, the Vinistra association, and the Croatian National Tourist Board, partners in this important project for the Croatian wine scene include the Tourist Board of Istria County, the Tourist Board of the City of Umag, and Kempinski Hotel Adriatic Istria.
